The instrument is designed to measure the contact height of aerosol can with a hole 1 inch (25.4 mm). Each manufactured piece of measurement is equipped with calibration ring to check periodically properly functioning of device.
Contact Height (C. H. ) is the distance measured from the top of the aerosol container specifies the location where the clamping tongs extend to permanently embed the aerosol valve. Contact height dimension is used to set the crimping tool tongs. This parameter controls the production of aerosol products allows you to get a proper seal and uniformity of the product.
The gauge is first calibrated by setting the calibration ring on the gauge. In this case the dial has to indicate the value of 4.30 mm. The measurement on the can is then inserting the gauge up to the shank into the can and then slowly releasing the button.
It completes with a calibration ring and comes in a protective foam-padded box. Reads are in metric unit only.
